San Francisco, USA

An obligatory cycle over the Golden Gate bridge is a must. If the weather is cloudy or cooler in San Fran you can almost guarantee the sun is out in Sausalito.

Stop off at the water front and grab burgers from the aptly named ‘Hamburgers’ at 737 Bridgeway. There’s always a little queue but the burgers are amazing and you can eat them looking over the water.

All the districts have their own special charm but a personal favourite of mine is Mission. Look out for the interesting buildings with colourful murals and grab tacos from a Tacolicious which seem to pop up on every corner.

Culture Tip – Mission District

If the buzz of the city is getting too much head to Golden Gate Park – specifically the San Francisco Botanical Gardens within the wider park. It’s a super chilled, tranquil area of the park, which has some genuinely really beautiful plants.

Finally, catch a baseball game with the San Francisco Giants at the AT&T Park. Grab a hot dog, chant along, and check out the incredible view across the bay from the stands. Make sure you book seats slightly higher up and behind the catchers box to get the full view of the Bay.
