Marrakech used to be buzzier than it is now, but its still a fabulous place to visit regardless of being a little quieter.
When the heat of the city gets too much, and the plunge pool in the Riad isn’t cutting it for cooling you down, head about 20 minutes by car out of the city to the Beldi Country Club.
For about £40 you can rent a sun lounger in their garden oasis with multiple swimming pools and spend the day relaxing here. Its not cheap, but the setting is lovely and when the heat gets too much its worth it.
Book an evening dinner at Le Jardin. Its a restaurant in an open air courtyard with vibrant green tiles, extensive foliage making it a mini leafy oasis in the heart of Marrakech.
The food is good and authentic but the venue has a chic, modern almost European vibe to it.
Finally, the Marjorelle Garden is a must. The features and the architecture are just idyllic. The garden is a bit of a walk from the centre but worth it.
